Are you a shoe fanatic? Perhaps jewelry obsessed? Or maybe a Make Up Lover? I love fashion in general, but I have to admit that I have a swimwear fetish. I embarrassingly restrict myself from adding no more than three swim suits to my collection every year. Summer is around the corner, but I have been sporting my swimwear since winter. It may be cooler in North Carolina for half of the year, but it doesn’t mean you can’t chase the waves, soak in the sun & sport your swimmies elsewhere. In honor of the approaching hot months, I wanted to share my top favorite bikini picks for this summer as well as three of my favorite online retail shops for swimwear.
Unique Vintage, Wala Swim and Nordstrom Women’s Swimwear are my top picks for online swimwear shopping. Unique Vintage houses vintage inspired clothing from the ’20s such as Flapper Dresses to stylish ’40s and ’50s pinup clothing and my personal favorite, retro swimwear. I recently purchased this Navy & White Pin Dot Monroe High Waist Bikini. I was most impressed by the quality of material and construction of the suit that did not break the bank. It seems as though the smaller swim attire may be, the more costly, too. Unique Vintage offers a high quality product at a reasonable price. The ruched detail on this high waist bikini is incredibly flattering and feminine. The bikini top is also complementary and works well for those gals that have a large cup size. Super super sexy-cute and it pairs well with a red lip.
Wala Swim curates a collection of gorgeous luxury designer international swimwear. Their goals include providing the perfect fitting suit and show stopping designs. Wala Swim is my go to for unique swim collections that I may not find on other web sites. I fell in love with Vitamin A’s sleek and sexy Serpentine Neutra Bikini. This is The Bikini that is guaranteed to travel with me any where a beach or pool is to be found. The only drawback from ordering this bikini with Wala Swim online is that the largest size they carry is a US 10. However, a lovely customer service agent at Wala Swim went above and beyond to contact Vitamin A directly to request a US 12. Most swimwear (in my experience) does run small. In fact, the US 12 Vitamin A bikini top is hard to keep the girls in tact – full disclosure (no pun intended). Regardless, I love this suit. If you are comfortable with showing a little cleavage, then you will have no problem rocking this swimmie. I love pairing this bikini with a fuscia lip.
Nordstrom is my favorite retail shop – period, but they also have a great assortment of swimwear. I love their customer service, their talented stylist team and the variety of brands in stock (both in store and online). Citrus Bloom by Ted Baker is my final bikini pick for this summer. It’s gorgeous, has clean lines and is well constructed. This suit is perfect for a cruise or resort and screams – I Am Fabulous. If you struggle with tops (like I do), the molded underwire bikini top provides a flattering support. The floral design adds the right touch of femininity making it The Little Black Bikini for 2017.
Regardless whether your preference is a monokini, traditional one piece, swim dress, tankini, etc., all that matters is that you love your swim suit and that you feel your best self when you wear it at the beach, hot tub or pool. If you have any favorite swimwear websites, please let me know! I would love to check them out.
