BUILT [Custom Burgers] is the new addition to Alston Town Center located on 5033 Arco Street in Cary, NC. It joins the recently opened Whole Foods and existing businesses like CYCLEBAR and MOE’S Southwest Grill. BUILT Custom Burgers is a fast-casual version of The Counter restaurant chain and debuts its first stand alone location in North Carolina.
The eaterie offers guests the option to choose from the BUILT [For Me] burgers or create your own burger or bowl through the BUILT [By Me] option. BUILT offers four premium proteins (including one vegan veggie option), five cheeses, 20 fresh unlimited toppings, 10 flavorful sauces and the choice of three breads (including a gluten-free option). Premium toppings include applewood smoked bacon , guacamole, caramelized onions, mushrooms or a fried egg.
The BUILT [For Me] menu offers five items including the Carolina Style, N.C. Heat, The L.A. Way, Panther Club and Breakfast Burger. You can choose a single (1/4 lb) or double (1/2 lb) protein for these five options. The BUILT [For Me] menu items are served with a bun, however, you can choose to have it served in a bowl.
I ordered The L.A. Way in a bowl with a single 1/4 lb angus beef, which is both hormone & antibiotic free. The L.A. Way is prepared with pepper jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, guacamole, lettuce, tomato & BUILT Sauce.
Pair your Built Custom Burger or bowl with french fries, sweet potato fries or tater tots. Fries & tater tots sauces include sweet sriracha or garlic aioli. I sampled the sweet sriracha tater tots and they were outstanding!! BUILT refreshments include shakes, beer, wine and Coca Cola products. Shake flavors include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and a seasonal flavor. The current seasonal flavor is cookie butter. I had a little trouble deciding between the chocolate and cookie butter, so I ordered both!!! I requested 1/2 cookie butter milkshake and 1/2 chocolate milkshake in a cup topped off with whipped cream. It was so so so delicious, that it made my day!!!
Starting Friday, Dec. 8, through Sunday, Dec. 10, all BUILT Custom Burgers guests will receive a free side of the popular garlic aioli or sweet sriracha tater tots with the purchase of any burger. Triangle residents are all invited to BUILT to experience this unique take on the classic burger. If you are a fan of free unlimited toppings, BUILT is definitely for you!!! Don’t forget the tater tots, fries or the delicious shakes!!!
