While a traditional Moscow Mule is wonderfully delicious, there are so many lovely fruits, herbs and mixers than can be added to elevate the classic cocktail. This versatility inspired my Cranberry Orange Moscow Mule recipe.
Prior to making this cocktail, you will need to make a batch of my Cranberry Simple Syrup. Click here for the recipe! The gorgeous mixer can also be used in other cocktails like my Cranberry Orange Margarita. In addition to the Cranberry Simple Syrup, you will need a great quality ginger beer and vodka. For purposes of this recipe, I used Goslings Ginger Beer. After some serious recipe development, I found that Goslings did not overpower the cocktail like other ginger beers. As well as Goslings Ginger Beer, I used Topo Organic Vodka in this Moscow Mule. Topo Organic Vodka is not only a great quality award winning vodka, but it is also locally made in Chapel Hill, NC. When possible, I try to support locally made products.
Now that I have shared some of the key ingredients used in this Moscow Mule, let’s get to the recipe!

I hope that you enjoy this festive holiday-inspired Moscow Mule as much as I do!
My Cranberry Simple Syrup yields approximately nine cups. If this seems like too much syrup, consider halving or quartering the recipe. I canned this mixer in sterilized Mason jars so that I can have the syrup readily available throughout the year. For an additional festive touch, garnish the Cranberry Orange Moscow Mule with Candied Cranberries. Click here for the recipe!
