Looking for the perfect frozen cocktail? This Sauvignon Blanc Slushie Recipe may be your go-to favorite. Scroll down for the details!
Spring is right around the corner and I definitely have the fever! The warm weather has me reaching for my sundresses, flip flops and chilled beverages. Along with the recent weather, this Sauvignon Blanc Slushie Recipe was inspired by my Strawberry Frosé Recipe. I wanted to create a similar frozen cocktail that infused the beautiful citrus flavors of my Kumquat Simple Syrup. The crisp acidity and mild tartness of the Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with kumquats.
For purposes of this recipe, I used a 2019 Scheid Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a lovely wine that I purchased during my 2019 trip to Carmel-By-The-Sea. The estate wine has bright notes of meyer lemon, kefir lime and hints of tangerine, which is perfect for this recipe. The best part of making this Sauvignon Blanc Slushie is that a fancy slushie machine is not required. A freezer and 24 hours is all that you need to get this party started!
If you have not made my Kumquat Simple Syrup Recipe, now is the time. Click here for the step by step recipe. While making the Kumquat Simple Syrup, consider making candied kumquats to garnish the beautiful boozy frozen libation. Candied kumquats are very easy to make. Simply follow my recipe for Candied Cranberries. Now that I have shared two of the main ingredients that you will need for this drink, let’s get to the recipe.

If you are hosting a party, this Sauvignon Blanc Slushie is your go to gal! I love that the frozen drink can be made ahead of time. In fact, you can serve the Sauvignon Blanc Slushie in glasses and chill in the freezer until your guests arrive. The glasses will boast a beautiful frosty appearance. That said, do not leave your glasses in the freezer for more than 20 minutes. Doing this alone is quite helpful as you will have one less task to worry about as hostess for your next soiree.
