Juice oranges into a pitcher and measure 1½ cups. Use one orange to slice four wedges to use as a garnish for each glass.
In a separate pitcher, add one 12 oz can of chilled evaporated milk. One can measures to precisely 1½ cups of evaporated milk.
Add ¼ cup of sugar to the chilled evaporated milk. Mix well.
Using a spoon or a whisk, slowly add but quickly stir in the 1½ cups of fresh squeezed orange juice into the evaporated milk.
Once the orange juice and evaporated milk have been fully mixed, sample the sweetness of the drink. Since the natural sweetness of oranges will vary, you may need to add the remaining ¼ cup of sugar. If you desire a sweeter drink, add an additional tablespoon or more of sugar to achieve your desired sweetness. Do not add more than the remaining ¼ cup of sugar.
Serve your orange Creamsicle mocktail on ice. Each recipe will yield four, 6 oz drinks. Garnish each glass with an orange wedge and a maraschino cherry. To transform the mocktail into a cocktail, add one to two ounces of Malibu Caribbean Rum with Coconut Liqueur. Cheers! I hope you enjoy this tropical beverage as much as I do.
